Stuart was introduced to the world of motor sport by his dad, Terry Bliss and was accompanying him to rallies and assisting the service crews at age 3. He began competing himself in Kart racing at the tender age of 8. After winning the best novice trophy at his local club, Dunkeswell Kart Racing Club in 1992, he went from strength to strength winning a top 3 championship trophy every year for the 8 years he competed. Stuart then progressed to VW cup championship 2005 where he drove his MK1 Golf (1.8) to finish 16th overall after a non finish in the last race where his engine blew up.

In 2007 Stuart decided to follow after his dad and switched to rally driving and is currently competing in the CMSG and ASWSC Sealed Surface Championships.

Rookie driver collects his silverware

Stuart collecting his trophey

The year of 2007 saw rookie rally driver Stuart Bliss of Weston-super-Mare compete in twelve rallies. Only not completing three, his highest position achieved was 4th in class and he managed to finish higher than seeded in an impressive eight of the nine rallies finished. Competing in the ASWMC and CMSG championships Stuart quickly made an impression picking up the first novice crew home trophy at his first ever rally; Brean Stages.

By the end of the year Stuart had climbed to a colossal 5th overall in the ASWMC championship, earning himself some silverware. In the CMSG championship Stuart came an outstanding 2nd overall and also managed to collect silverware for his class and the 1st under 25 year old award.
Congratulations Stuart!

Stuart would like to thank Piaa UK for their continuing support throughout the 2007 year, without which he would not have achieved what he has, as well as his other sponsors: South West Karting, West End precision and Psycho Designs. Stuart would also like to thank his co-driver Michael Hague and his service crew, in particular his dad Terry Bliss, for their hard work and support during the tough year.

Looking forward to the 2008 rally year Stuart has decided to switch from the 1900cc class to the 1600cc class. Continuing to compete in the CMSG and ASWMC sealed surface championships, Stuart will now be accompanied by a new co-driver; a friend since Stuart's karting days; Richard Marsh.
